WWII List of 60th Inf Reg Soldiers

jdarment@yahoo.com

Does anyone know of a list of those who were part of the 60th during WWII? My grandfather was in the 9th Inf Div/60th Inf Reg during WWII. I was hoping to find a list with him on it or at least find out people he served with. Or more details about it from that time frame (1943-1945). He was with the 60th for maybe a year or two, not sure, but certainly a year.

I am also trying to obtain information on my brother Cpl Harry L. Bruntmyer Army Serial Number 37660933. His Discharge Papers indicate he served in Co A 60th Inf. 9th Div in the Rhineland Central Europe. His papers also indicate he was in the ETO 1 Mar 45 until 1 Jan 46. I would appreciate any info I might receive about the activities of his assigned unit.

I have a 60th Inf yearbook from 1942 where your uncle Wm A. Forbes, Co. B, is listed as a PVT. Not much else there. My Grandfather was in Co. F., but transferred over to the all-draftee 88th Infantry as cadre. A lot of regular Army did to prolong their training in the hope the war ended before they got there.
