A year ago, my grandfather, John Doxsee, passed away. While he was alive, I loved to hear his stories from World War Two. They served a special place in my life. Knowing what he had done in the past gave me little excuse for not achieving. Knowing of his reliance on God, and how he was delivered from near death spurred my religious faith. After he passed, his stories would only remain in my memory. I started to want to ensure that his story would be preserved, as would the story of his buddies. I also wanted to know more about the story of the unit beyond my grandfathers lore. After not being able to find any specific information about the Regiment online, I began this site. It is for one stop, very precise knowledge and information on the 60th Infantry Regiment during the years 1941-1945, with stories from the men who served. Our mission is as follows:
TO COLLECT AND PRESERVE PRIMARY SOURCE MATERIAL ABOUT THE 60th INFANTRY
REGIMENT FROM JANUARY 1, 1941 UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 1945.
