The Cabinet War Rooms

These rooms were used by Churchill during World War II for all of his planning and command of the war. The rooms are much the same as they were during the war. Once the war ended, everything was just closed off and sealed, not to be re-opened until recently. In January of 2005 the Churchill Museum opened up also. It directly joins the War Rooms.

Very real setting

The settings in the museum are very realistic. When the War Rooms were being prepared for tourists, inside one of the desks was found a sugar ration. The person using the desk had been hoarding it during the war. Once VE day happened, he simply left it all behind and did not think about it again.
